Eleanor Muench was the first Director of Shannon Nursery School when it began in 1963. She created a child-centered environment which set a standard for the program as it exists today.
About Shannon Nursery School
Our non-profit, co-operative school has welcomed children of all races, religions and ethnic backgrounds since it's inception in 1963. We are administered by a Board of Directors comprised of parents of enrolled children, under the guidance of qualified directors and teachers. Parents assist in the classroom on a rotating basis, with six parents and two teachers working each school day. Our teachers are all Director qualified and we are licensed by the Department of Social Services, # 430709845.
Our Co-operative nursery school offers your child a play-based atmosphere to grow and explore and make friends. Parents get a greater bond with their child, opportunities to share ideas and get hands-on counsel from the schools professional director and teachers.
